Maxim financial group

The Maxim Financial Group provides holistic financial planning and advisory services under the umbrella of its two wholly owned subsidiary companies, Maxim Wealth and Maxim Risk. Maxim Wealth specialises in investment planning, advice and solutions. Maxim Risk focuses on personal and business risk and the protection of wealth.

Maxim is overseen by John Makowem, a qualified lawyer and certified financial planner. John is a South African expatriate with a successful financial services career in both South Africa and New Zealand. He is the former Managing Director of Discovery East London, a franchise of the listed Discovery Holdings group of companies, and over the last few years has developed a great deal of experience providing advice for a high profile New Zealand financial planning company.
